You'll see the process of procedurally modeling a rosebud, including UVs and appropriate geometry for simulating a blooming rose using the Vellum solver in Houdini. This kind of motion is achieved by selecting and controlling specific constraints on geometry so you can modify their properties inside a cloth simulation. By using gradients and a little bit of vector math, you can meticulously select and control Vellum constraints.

The file is filled with visual aids and notes; however, it does not contain a step-by-step explanation of every aspect of the process. It assumes a good working knowledge of the software.
